Stonehaven Cycling Club was well represented at Scotland's largest sportive, with all riders reporting a great experience and great achievements all round.

Through the month of May the club will trial running sessions on 3 nights a week.

​This weekend we are heading up the Slug Road and over the Garrol.

That's the first Wednesday night cycle done and for the 33 hardy souls that braved the weather, well done. I even turned up, more through peer pressure from Jane Tulloch!

Here are the route details for the beginners group for Wednesday and Thursday (6th and 7th April). On both rides there will be points where we will regroup and wait for the slowest rider so you will not be left.​

There will be a club social cycle this Saturday (2nd April), meeting at 1pm at Mackie Academy. 3 routes that will all meet up at the Clatterin Brig for coffee and cake. Returning to The Marine for those that want to rehydrate!

Looks like turbulent weather for Easter Sunday .. maybe wet, but sure to have strong southerly. Routes chosen for a tail wind home !

These were a tremendous success last year so lets make this year as successful. Spread the word as we welcome newcomers of all abilities.

As part of the Midsummer Beer Happening in Stonehaven, the 2nd addition of the 'REDO' (72m) will be held once again on Saturday 18th June 2016. Starting in waves from 8.30am with complimentary t-shirt, goodie bag, entry to beer festival… and sore legs. This year we will have a shorter UNDO (52m) straight back to Stonehaven for those wanting to get a beer in earlier!!!

New to cycling, here's an opportunity to get started.

In an attempt to get a few more riders out on a Sunday in groups of equal ability, Stonehaven Cycling Club is to LEAVE at 9am each Sunday rain or shine at the town square…. so be 5 minutes early and can we get away sharp.
