Firstly, details of THURSDAY CLUB RUNS are included at the bottom of the report
That's the first Wednesday night cycle done and for the 33 hardy souls that braved the weather, well done. I even turned up, more through peer pressure from Jane Tulloch!
I'm including the 18 (unbelievable numbers -see Trish Greer post on Facebook for details) that turned up at Mackie for the beginners group, looked like good turn out as we rolled past the school but didn't think it was anything like that!
Despite the weather it was great to see many new faces turn up
One of the riders in our group mentioned they had been looking for a club where they could turn up and not feel like they are out of their depth. Not sure if that was the point where I was blue in the face and breathing out my posterior region!
On a serious not its great to hear and this should give confidence to anyone else wanting to join in, there is something for everyone.
THURSDAY RIDES
There are further sessions tomorrow night. Neil Macarthur will be leading a group out from the bottom of Bervie Braes, setting off at 6:30pm. Details of this ride for beginners and slow groups were posted on FB earlier today by Neil so check back for post. If you don't use FB just turn up, route uses Barras roads and is approx 18miles.
There will also be Medium and Fast groups again leaving from the Leisure Centre carpark at 6:15 for first group. Groups will follow the same Durris loop (23miles) that we did tonight. https://www.strava.com/routes/4573567
So to all you fair weather cyclists, hope to see you out next time.
Regards
Willie
