1. AGM - This Wednesday, 18th May at 8pm in Stonehaven Recreation Grounds will be the clubs first AGM. The committee hopes to see as many of you as can make it. Plenty time to come down after a quick cycle round Durris to hear reports and propose election of the committee.

2. Events - Well done to everyone who have been participating in events in the past month. There has been great success for club members including top 20 Etape finishes, and lots of new PBs.
Charlie Barrow organised a very successful first club Time Trial last week, with over 30 participants. This raised over £300 for his Rwanda Educational Trip. Great fun all round.

3. Saturday Social Cycles - Proposed dates for the diary are:

-28th May
-25th June (BBQ and retro bike race)
-26th June (Cycle for Sam)
-23rd July
-20th August
-17th September

These are cycles for all, leaving from Mackie Academy car park at 1pm (except the rides with brackets behind them, more info on these later). Routes and group info will be posted on the website and face book page nearer the time. These are a great way to meet new faces over a coffee and scone, with a bit of cycling thrown in for good measure.

4. Club BBQ - Following on from the great success of last years BBQ at Mo and Daves, they have kindly agreed to host us again. Saturday 25th June, save the date. More specific details to follow on later, but it will be a family affair with a 'Retro' bike race.

5. Ellon Pedal Car Race - 21st August. Ythan Cycling Club have invited us to join them in competing in Ellons annual pedal care race. http://www.ellonpedalcar.co.uk If any of you are keen to put a team together and build or race your own pedal car, please get in touch with Emma at secretary@stonehaven.bike

6. Weekly cycles - These are now Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from Mackie Academy car park at 6.30pm. This also includes the beginners and social speed cycle on a Wednesday. Thursday also have a social cycle with Neil up round Barras and the ford, leaving from the bottom of the Bervie Braes at 6.30pm. Sunday cycles leave from the Market Square beside the lights at 9am. 7. Membership - Last week saw us hit the magic 200th Member, welcome Rhoda Banfro! Since then 5 more members have joined and are sitting at 205. Thank you to you all for joining and getting involved in Stonehaven Cycling Club. If any of you want to get involved in the running of the North Easts second biggest club or have specific skills you think would benefit the club, please get in touch with Willie at yellow@stonehaven.bike

8. Club Kit - exciting news........a new kit order is about to start via Endura. Watch this space for more information when we have it, but due to high demand and feedback we hope to have jackets and gillets in this run.

We are proud to be supporting Robert and the team at this years Midsummer Beer Happening REDO and UNDO events on Saturday 18th June 2016. If you are looking for a challenge and fancy cycling the Cairn once or twice then please sign up to this great event. If you are not feeling up to the cycle, there are lots of ways you can get involved in supporting the event from marshalling to registration.
